Dr Aditi Bhalla

I am a Prosthodontist with over 15 years of clinical experience, and an Integrative Psychotherapist, Mindfulness Teacher, Hypnotherapist, Life Counsellor and Coach, Breathwork Teacher, Qi Gong and Yoga Teacher trained to work with the whole person, not just the presenting problem. That combination sits at the heart of how I mentor.

My own turning point came through burnout and the physical illnesses it brought along. Like many in this profession, I was trained to be clinically excellent and left to figure out the rest alone – how to carry the pressure, the perfectionism, and the weight of always being “on.” Rebuilding myself through that experience is what led me to train as a Psychotherapist and a practitioner in other mind-body modalities alongside my clinical work, and it’s what shapes every mentoring relationship I now offer.

Clinical Experience

My clinical background spans specialist prosthodontic practice, complex restorative care, and teaching – including teaching undergraduate students at Queen Mary University of London and DFT’s with Health Education England. That clinical grounding means I understand the day-to-day realities of dental practice: the technical demands, the patient relationships, the business pressures, and the toll they can take.

Training and Approach

Alongside my clinical qualifications, I trained as an Integrative Psychotherapist, drawing on Compassion Focused Practices, trauma-informed and somatic approaches, and nervous system science. I work with the body as well as the mind, because stress and burnout live in both.

I’m also a direct, engaging speaker on these issues, from the TEDx stage to BDJ In Practice and mainstream media – including BBC Radio London and Breathe Magazine – where I’ve spoken openly about mental wellbeing, burnout, and what recovery really takes.

I’m also the founder of the Dental Wellbeing Hub, a free community of over 1,600 dental professionals built to close the gap in profession-specific wellbeing support – something I wish had existed when I needed it most.

How I Can Support You

Whether you’re navigating burnout, rebuilding confidence, facing a difficult career transition, or simply want a mentor who understands the emotional weight of this profession as well as the clinical one, I would be glad to walk alongside you.
