I qualified as a dentist in 2018 and have developed a broad range of clinical and educational experience throughout my career. Alongside my clinical work, I have always had a strong interest in supporting the development of other dental professionals and helping colleagues navigate the challenges and opportunities that come with a career in dentistry.

I have experience mentoring overseas-qualified dentists, supporting them as they adapt to working within the UK dental profession. This has given me a particular appreciation of the importance of having a supportive mentor who can provide guidance, encouragement and a safe space to discuss both professional and personal challenges. I find it particularly rewarding to help colleagues build confidence, recognise their strengths and identify practical ways to progress.

I am also an Educational Supervisor, where I support dentists in their professional and clinical development. This role has strengthened my skills in communication, feedback, reflection and goal setting, and has reinforced my belief that effective mentorship should be individualised and focused on the needs of the mentee. I aim to create an open and supportive environment where people feel comfortable discussing challenges and developing their own solutions.

Clinically, I have undertaken further postgraduate education, completing a Diploma in Endodontics and a Diploma in Restorative Dentistry. These qualifications have allowed me to develop my clinical knowledge and experience while maintaining a strong focus on evidence-based, high-quality patient care.

I am currently undertaking an LLM in Legal Aspects of Medical Practice, reflecting my growing interest in the legal, ethical and professional aspects of healthcare. I hope to bring this broader perspective to my mentoring, particularly when supporting colleagues with professional decision-making, communication, risk management and navigating the wider responsibilities of working within dentistry.
