I am an experienced and friendly dentist who enjoys helping other clinicians achieve their potential.

I have worked in general practice since graduating in 1998, working in a mixture of small and large, busy multi-team practices serving large sections of the community. I have worked as a Clinical Director since February 2014 for a large dental corporate, providing clinical support and leadership to a number of practices.

In my role as a Clinical Director, I strive to improve and maintain the consistency of standards in all my practices, ensuring that there is compliance with relevant legislative regulations. This involves mentoring dentists, induction, formulating personal development plans and writing reports both internally and for external stakeholders. I have experience of mentoring and supporting ORE dentists with the PLVE process and now the new process for IDGs wishing to join the NHS dental performers list.

I have completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Dental Education. I have also been on the accredited mentor’s list with Health Education England Midlands and East. I regularly attend NADA (National Association of Dental Advisors) conference, and I routinely work with dental advisors from across the country. I am on a clinical advisory board member for a large online training provider of CPD for dental professionals and the entire dental team  

I hold a Masters in Advanced General Dental Practice from the University of Birmingham. 

I am a Fellow of the College of General Dentistry and have been a facilitator with the certified membership programme. 

I have a strong commitment to continuous personal development through attending numerous courses and reading peer reviewed journals. This ensures that I am ideally positioned, to provide up-to-date advice and guidance. I believe that continuing professional development is essential to being a successful clinician and ensures the best and most up to date patient care.

I am on the GDC‘s panel of Clinical Advisors and Clinical Expert Witness.

I believe that working concurrently as a Clinical Director and a practising clinician, has given me the experience and knowledge to provide professional advice and support as needed.

I am passionate on the benefits of mentoring and find it both challenging and rewarding. My aim is to help professional colleagues such as you to be the best they can. I am friendly and approachable individual; I look forward to supporting you and I hope as a mentor/coach I can support you in developing both personally and professionally.
