Claudia is the senior dental associate in a large mixed NHS practice. Amongst Claudia’s responsibilities is encouragement of best practice across the whole dental team including advising on latest professional guidance and developing protocols within the practice.

Claudia helped develop NHSE South East Standard Operating Procedures s for the urgent care hubs at the beginning of Covid and assisted in running the first Urgent Dental Care Hub in Hampshire caring for 1.3 million patients at the beginning of the pandemic.

She is an experienced Discipline Specific Practitioner for NHSE Perfomance Advisory Groups and Performer List Decision panels and has also acted as a locum clinical advisor for NHSE South West.

Claudia is a trained coach mentor for Health Education England and has successfully supported dentists through GDC Fitness to Practice hearings and Performer List Decision Panel conditions.

She has helped develop and set up Hampshire and Isle of Wight Local Dental Committee Performer Advice Support Scheme which supports and advises registrants who run into performance difficulties.
Claudia is a trained Dental Appraiser for Health Education England Thames Valley and Wessex working with registrants to identify their strengths and weaknesses in order to assist in developing their Personal Development Plans.

Claudia is familiar with the Kolb and Gibbs reflective models and has a particular interest in reflective writing. She has developed a model to assist dentists in difficulty writing reflectively which has had considerable success in the LDC PASS.

Claudia passionately believes that developing insight and reflection leads to as more relaxed and fulfilling career so she is keen to help any dentist who has run into difficulties with the GDC or NHSE to navigate the determinations process successfully and achieve their full professional potential.
