With a strong passion for dentistry, I have had a varied career mainly as a principal General Dental Practitioner but also as lecturer, politician, and speaker. I have retired from clinical dentistry and now wish to pay back my knowledge and empathy by supporting dentists in difficulty. Coach mentoring over 30 dentists with support in a non-judgemental, confidential way.

 I wish to develop my learning and credibility by studying a MRes at the University of Portsmouth with my major project looking at coach/mentoring dentists in difficulty.

 Being Chair of one of the largest LDCs in the country, representing over 900 dentists, allows me to feel the mood of my profession.

 I am the current BDA and Isle of Wight and Hampshire LDC media representative which has recently led to speaking at the Houses of Parliament, BBC South, ITV Meridian and to The Independent and Portsmouth News.
